Awards for All - Relaunched Programmes across the UK
More than £60 million funding is on offer to support community projects throughout the UK after the re-launch of the flagship Awards for All programme. Charities, community groups, not-for-profit organisations, local councils, health bodies, and schools can all get grants to carry out projects that will improve the quality of life for local people. The Tudor Trust new Funding
Under the new guidelines, the Trust will continue to make grants across their established funding areas. These are; youth, older people, community, relationships, housing, mental health, substance misuse, learning, financial security and criminal justice. The Trust will also be open to hearing about work in areas the Trust has not funded before. The Trust makes grants in the region of £19 million per year and aims to support smaller community, voluntary and charitable organisations and is looking to make around 350 projects per year for up to three years. Nationwide Foundation small grants scheme
One-off grants of up to £5,000 for charities with incomes below £500,000 will be offered through the small grants programme. Charities offering financial and housing support to victims of domestic abuse and to elderly people will be the fund's main beneficiaries. The small grants programme has no deadline. Impetus Trust Grants Scheme
Charities that work to improve the lives of disadvantaged people have the opportunity to apply for funding through the Impetus Trust. It provides funding, capacity building and hands on management support to small to medium-sized charities that are at a critical stage in their development. The support (usually available between 3-5 years) aims to enable charities to increase their impact upon the lives of disadvantage people. Working with Offenders
The Weavers' Company Benevolent Fund provide grants of up to £15,000 to support UK-based organisations working with young offenders; prisoners and ex-prisoners and young people who are at risk from criminal involvement. New 'Tackling Race Inequalities Fund' launched by Communities and Local Government
Communities and Local Government are pleased to announce a £6m Tackling Race Inequalities Fund aimed at supporting third sector organisations who help to tackle racial inequalities and promote equality of opportunity for people from Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic groups. City & Guilds Bursaries
City & Guilds offer a small number of educational grants yearly to people who want to study for a City & Guilds qualification, e.g. NVQs, apprenticeships or certificate courses. Funding covers: - course fees - childcare or travel expenses - other costs that currently prevent you enrolling on a course Application forms are available from the website and are next considered in December.
